ATLANTA -- Nobody compares to Michael Jordan.
That said, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose is developing a similarly encyclopedic recall of his missteps and using them as motivation.
Before the Feb. 2 road game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Rose talked disgustedly of his missed late free throw that would've tied a one-point home loss to the same team in December.
Then Rose dropped 32 points on the Clippers in a road victory.
On Sunday, Rose spat out details of the Bulls blowing a 35-point lead to the Kings in December 2009, their last visit to the United Center before Monday night. Rose then had 18 points and eight assists in just 28 minutes of a 40-point blowout.
On Tuesday night, Rose acted with disgust when asked about his poor play down the stretch of a March 2 road loss to the Hawks.
"After that game, we all felt bad," Rose said. "We don't want that feeling anymore. It hurts. And one of the reasons why we lost that game was definitely because of me. Turnovers, bad decisions, everything was because of me. I tried to stay focused."
Here's what focus does: Rose dropped 30 points and 10 assists on the Hawks this time in a Bulls victory.

There will never be another Michael Jordan but it's really looking like there may be another Derrick Rose.
What I love about these guys is their hussle. Noah and Rose are so much fun to watch, but the rest of this team is, too.
I remember watching the Cubs last year and thinking, this is a really hard team to like.
The opposite is true of this team. It's an easy team to like. I wish I lived in Chicago still, so I could hear the cheers in United Center.
