Lions' revamped secondary braces for Bears

The Detroit Free Press reports: The Lions have only one returning player from their secondary last season (Louis Delmas, who has played just 20 snaps in one exhibition game), the four starters have yet to play in a game together and three are nursing injuries. But cornerback Jonathan Wade said the secondary will be ready Sunday for Jay Cutler and the Bears.

"We've been practicing together since we got started," he said. "Even though some people haven't been playing in this game or that game, we've still been practicing week in and week out together, so we've still been able to get a good feel for each other. ... Hopefully we can go out and play our game and dictate."
