kyle-williams-49ers.jpgKyle Williams, the son of White Sox GM Kenny Williams, has made the cut with the San Francisco 49ers as the team got down to 53 players.

The 49ers drafted Williams, out of Arizona State, with the No. 206 pick of the NFL draft. He led Arizona State last season as a senior with 57 receptions for 815 yards and eight touchdowns. He also received All-Pac-10 honors as a punt returner.

Williams injured his toe on a 36-yard punt return during a preseason game, which is the double any distance recorded by the 49ers last season.

Just because the Sox tease of a season is damn near done, that means every other news story mildly related to said Sox should never be shown? Please, get some perspective. The world doesn't stop just because the Sox are no better than second place team in a second-rate division.

Who cares about this? The Twins' magic number is now 24.
