Lou Canellis has been named WFLD-Ch. 32's new lead sportscaster, succeeding Corey McPherrin, who last month became co-host of the station's low-rated morning program, "Good Day, Chicago."
Canellis, who had been working for Channel 32 on a per diem basis, will handle sports on its 9 p.m. news Sunday through Thursday, and host its "Final Word" broadcasts Sunday nights at 10 p.m. He also will continue to appear on "Bears Game Day Live" and "Bears Game Night Live," which air Sundays on WFLD during pro football season but are produced and owned by the team.
Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has been added as a "Final Word" commentator, beginning this Sunday, Channel 32 said.

What a hack!!!
Channel 32 better go get Lou a "high chair". I met him before, he's all of 5ft-4'
Blech.....Lou is so full of himself. How does a no-talent guy like that land a gig on a major newscast?
