CLEVELAND -- Manny Ramirez arrived at Progressive Field with his dreadlocks intact Tuesday, but he's not in the White Sox's lineup for Tuesday night's game.
Manager Ozzie Guillen told reporters it was his decision not to start Ramirez after the slugger spent the day traveling to Cleveland.
Ramirez will be available off the bench and is expected to be in the Sox lineup for Wednesday's day game (11:05 a.m. Chicago time, CSN).
Speaking only in Spanish to reporters before the game (with coach Joey Cora serving as translator), Ramirez said he felt like a 25-year-old, still has the fire to compete, felt blessed to have played for the Dodgers and doesn't know why he sat at the end of his stint in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, a barber reportedly was set up in a room next to the Indians' clubhouse.

Why is Quentin starting ..Previosly I said he swings at eveything and strikes out .. so Today in 3 pitches he strikes out.. i said Lillybridge can play a better or at least as good an outfield. Why isnt he starting ? So what the QUENTIN DO 2 errors in the outfield and we are onl in the 2nd.. CASEW CLOSED.. OZ sucks and so does Quentin who playing time will be taken by Manny..

I guess Lillibridge was the guy sent down to make room for Manny, since Teahen is penciled in at 3rd. The Indians will be bunting tonight. Our D just dropped in a big way with the Tea Hen.

This guy hasn't played for a week. Teams travel overnight to the next venue and play that day all the time. Why should he be so pooped out that he can't play? And for that amount of money. Ridiculous. Maybe it's just a statement by Ozzie that he controls what happens on the field regardless of who Kenny puts on the roster. Even more ridiculous.

I'm more concerned about his health than whether he plays Tuesday. Guy has been on the DL I think 3 times this year so that $3.5 million gamble is really about his health not him fitting in or being productive. It's not my money so I don't care. If he can play 5 times a week, he'll be a huge upgrade over Jones and Kotsay. He could also be a good mentor for Viciedo once he comes back to the club. Manny works on his swing and watches video as much as anyone. Hopefully Viciedo will see you don't have to swing from your heels ala Juan Uribe to put up HOF numbers.
Proven fact. Question to ask you about both fan incidents that happened at Comiskey with the first base coach and the umpire. Before each game where were the offenders at before they came to the Sox game? They were at a flubs game getting intoxicated and then came to the Sox game.
