CLEVELAND - Jared Mitchell and Josh Phegley, the White Sox's two top picks in the 2009 draft, Tuesday were selected to play for the Peoria Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League.

Mitchell, an outfielder, is making a steady recovery from a season-ending ankle injury suffered last March. He was working out this month at Class-A Winston-Salem and is scheduled to participate in the Arizona Instructional League next month.

Phegley is batting .283 at Double-A Birmingham.
Other Sox minor league players named to play for the Saguaros were pitchers Charlie Leesman, Anthony Carter, Henry Mabee and Johnnie Lowe and infielder Eduardo Escobar.

The six-team AFL season starts Oct. 12 and concludes with the title game on Nov. 20.
