Although a matchup against Utah might seem more fitting, sources say the retooled Bulls featuring former Jazz mainstays Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver and Ron Brewer will open the 2010-11 NBA season Oct.27 on the road against another Western Conference team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

According to a New York Daily News report, the Bulls will visit the New York Knicks on Christmas Day as part of an NBA TV showcase that will include the Miami Heat's visit to Los Angeles to play the Lakers. "Miami Thrice" will visit Madison Square Garden on Dec. 17 and Jan. 27.

The NBA will announce opening-week and other featured 2009-10 regular-season games for the Bulls and the rest of the league at 6 p.m. Central time Tuesday on the NBA TV network. The full schedule will be released Aug. 10.
