ESPN.com reports: Chris Bosh may have contributed to the Bulls making the playoffs last season by declining to play down the stretch despite having been cleared by the Raptors to return from an injury
In an interview on 590 The Fan in Toronto, Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo said Bosh chose to sit out several late games as the Raptors lost out to the Bulls in their bid for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth.
"He was cleared to play subject to (pain) tolerance on his part, and the tolerance just apparently wasn't there and he chose not to play," Colangelo said. "Whether he was mentally checked out or just wasn't quite into it down the stretch, he wasn't the same guy."

In ESPN's overhyping of their "sacrifice" of less money, they rarely mention that they ALL have opt-out clauses after year 3, which was why they accepted less...when they don't have a title in three years, expect the circus all over again...
It does make it a little bit interesting, since Miami isn't really known for it's basketball history, but we'll see how it goes for the next five years. Maybe this "dynasty" won't really last long, they might fizzle out after a couple of failures. I do hope the Bulls own them this season, but everything will remain to be seen.
I was thinking that I was just mad that we didn't get Lebron and that was what was the foundation of my grrr. But honestly, it's really not about that. It's about the 30,000 foot picture of the NBA and what this has done to the NBA as a whole, to the reputations of Wade, Bosh, and Lebron, to the entire Cleveland area...and for what? So Wade can be happy and party with friends in South Beach? I think all three of them made it very clear that they have no interest in competition. I think if you paid them enough through endorcements they'd fight to field a team to go play in the final four again. If the money is right and the party was there, then why not? I think Lebron is a quitter for leaving Cleveland and I think some day he'll realize he made a mistake. I thought he was a bit different than he is actually is. Bosh is just a tag along. The guy that is the lowest scum on the totem pole is Wade to me. He prostituted himself for Pat Riley and used deception to get his way.
I wish Lebron would have stayed in Cleveland now that I look back on it. At least he is showing character by doing so.
Heat Fans get a Life! on July 28, 2010 4:29 PM
I love how Heat fans feel the need to stick around and post on Chicago newspaper articles...You people really need to get a life, why are you all so interested in what Chicago fans think or feel...I think it's because you dont have enough of your own fans to interact with, since 90% of you are nothin but a bandwagon fan base!!

This is just the tip of the iceberg. The truth is going to come out about this collusion. And Gilbert and the Cavalliers have some stories to tell about the Queen. Now that's a reality show in the making. These 3 jokers hurt a lot of people uneccesarily.
Roman F - you are confident, but not a lot of others. You have to have more than talent to humble yourself. NEITHER of them have that. They will react to difficult situations by RUNNING away from them and pouting and plotting to leave without notice. That is why they couldn't get players AROUND them to get on the same page. And I for one, hope they crash and burn to extreme embarrassment.
Bosh has big time talent and no heart!!! The Big Three wont win anything, 60 some odd millions of crap
I wish winning was linked more to character than it is to talent. Then the Miami Heat would have a losing record next year, instead of what will actually happen, they will at least reach the Eastern Conference Finals if not win the whole thing.
This can't be that much of a surprise when you think about it.
I mean how else were they all going to get together and play on the same team?
Neither one of them wanted their teams to succeed ... if they had succeeded, it would have made it much more difficult to leave.
How much easier was it for Bosh to leave when his team can't even make the playoffs than if they had gotten back to the playoffs and played well?
How much easier was it for Lebron to leave when his team gets upset out of the playoffs rather than moving on and possibly taking on the Lakers in the finals? Can you imagine trying to explain how you have the best regular season record for two years in a row, you're the two time MVP, your team just made it to the finals (but probably got beat), and you're gonna leave?
No, it's a whole lot easier to quit on your team and let them get upset ... then you can sit back and tell everyone that it's just not going to happen in Cleveland ... time to move on.
How convenient for both of them.
Looks like the Heat roster is full of quitters and liars Queen James, Ru-Paul (Bosh), and the leader of the 3 ring circus Wade........
