TV treat for PGA Championship: Par-3s in 3-D

Ready for another angle on Tiger Woods?

Turner Sports and The PGA of America announced Wednesday that the 92nd PGA Championship at Whistling Straits will feature 3-D coverage on Thursday, Aug. 12 and Friday, Aug. 13, on PGA.com and through TNT's television distributors (Bright House Networks, Cablevision, Comcast, Cox Communications, DIRECTV, and Time Warner Cable).

The 3-D coverage will be presented on the par-3 12th and 17th holes from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Central time during each of the first two rounds. Host Vince Cellini and 2002 PGA champion Rich Beem will provide commentary and analysis on the holes.
"At Turner Sports we continually look to provide the fan with an innovative viewing experience through our ability to test and explore new opportunities," Turner Sports executive Lenny Daniels said.

In order to watch the 3-D coverage, which will feature eight cameras produced specifically for 3-D, viewers will need a 3-D TV or PC display with matching 3-D glasses. For more information on how to watch, visit PGA.com.
