Lance Armstrong hires criminal defense attorney

The NY Daily News reports: Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has hired Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Bryan D. Daly to represent him in the federal grand jury probe into possible doping conspiracies on Armstrong's cycling teams.

"I was recently retained by Mr. Armstrong to assist him with respect to the investigation by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles," Daly said in an e-mail to the Daily News. "I have no comment at this time, except to say that we are going to work diligently to find out precisely what, if anything, this investigation has to do with Mr. Armstrong."

Armstrong has denied using performance-enhancing drugs and methods, and has dismissed recent accusations by his former teammate Floyd Landis, who confessed to doping this spring and says he witnessed widespread cheating on the U.S. Postal Service cycling teams in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

lance armstrong is a piece of dog shit...hes as dirty as really shitty underwear.he thinks hes such a tough guy.they will catch you you stupid shit...cant happen fast enough.

Of course Lance used. Everyone can agree that doping is huge in cycling, yes? So you're saying Armstrong is such a great "natural" athlete he just left all of these dopers in his dust for 7 years in a row? What a fraud. He gets such a pass because of the good he's done for cancer research. That's great and all, but he's still a cheat. And to top it off, he's a jerk in person too.

One would think that the U.S. Attorney would have better things to do than pursue Armstrong or any cyclist. Armstrong is the most tested athlete in the world plus the topic has resurfaced based on Floyd Landis who is the real criminal. He profited from a book that he know acknowledges is a complete lie.

This is your tax dollar in action!!
