Ex-Hawks GM Tallon misses cut at Senior Open

| 1 Comment | UPDATED STORY
USAToday reports: Former Blackhawks general manager Dale Tallon is competing in the U.S. Senior Open in Sammamish, Wash.

"I would say this is my biggest thrill in golf, although winning the Canadian national junior golf tournament in 1969 was pretty special," said Tallon, now general manager of the Florida Panthers.

Tallon won a qualifier in Illinois the day after the NHL draft with a 1-over 73, but hasn't played much since because of his GM duties.

"I'm really going on fumes," he said.

Update: Tallon shot a pair 81s in the first two rounds and failed to make the cut.
