I am glad he made that statement. But he should not have said it. You never make a statement like that because you cannot control all of the circumstances. I am as proud as they come in Chicago, but the business side of the game is one where you sometimes have to leave. Bulls management have done a lot and taken some big steps. It remains to be seen if they rest on their laurels or sell completely out to give Rose the tools he needs to win.

D rose is the man! Will go down as one the greatest bulls ever behind mj. Nice to see some loyalty still out there. The bulls will always stay comptative with him leading the point!

Rose must not be reading the geniuses on the Trib site enough to learn that "the Bulls organization is a joke and one wants to play for them".

Maybe in a few years time he will have spent enough time here reading all the "experts" tell us how Reinsdorf is cheap and treats players like garbage.

Rose had some issues lost year but he always comes away from things very classy. We are lucky to have a kid like this commit to the city, hope the owners continue to build around him and win a few championships.

He's from Englewood we never turn our back on our city

No surprise here. Talk about a contrast of different personalities with Rose and LeBosh Wade. I've been following DRose since his days in Chicago Public League and AAU ball and just his strong family background alone will probably make sure he keeps his head on the right path. Fame and fortune may change the best of 'em though, but I'll be surprised here if Rose falls into that trap. Keep it straight, DRose!

The ball would be in Paxdorf hands. They can't give him no small contract and think he will stay.
