Adding Tim Ruskell as the director of player personnel wasn't quite the final move the Bears made in restructuring the front office this offseason.
After Ruskell was hired to oversee the pro and college scouting departments, the team added a third person to the pro department by hiring James Kirkland as a pro assistant. He will work under Kevin Turks, who is the assistant director of pro personnel and alongside pro scout Dennard Wilson.
Kirkland comes to the Bears after spending the previous six seasons with the Cleveland Browns where he began as a pro scout and rose to become the assistant director of pro personnel. He left the Browns in January when the team began reshuffling all departments after the arrival of Mike Holmgren.

Another brilliant move. The Browns are obviously the best talent evaluators in the league. Next time maybe we should try and poach someone from the Ravens or Pats front office and not one of the few teams who seem to suck worse than us.
