ESPN reports: The free-agent summit, and idea first raised by Dwyane Wade and then downplayed apparently happened, according to ESPN.com.

Sources close to the situation said Monday night that Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James met over the weekend in Miami to seriously discuss their futures, with a focus on the increasingly plausible possibility of those three teaming up with Wade's Heat.
Yet sources with knowledge of the meeting stressed to ESPN.com that James, while clearly intrigued by the possibility of forming a star-studded Miami trio with Wade and Bosh, has not yet committed to leaving his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers for South Beach.Get the full story: espn.com

LOL @ Anyone who believes this non sense.
or Rose, Johnson, Deng, Nowitzki and Noah
The Bulls (and Reinsdorf) will be the ones laughing once the dust settles whether they get Lebron or not. They have set the foundation nicely.
Hey Nick, here is some breaking news: Reinsdorf doesn't have a hockey team.
Those three are not going to play for the Heat together. Take that to the bank. Not going to happen. Everyone is getting caught up with the location of the meeting. I think many are underestimating LBJ. Why would LBJ and Bosh go to other teams while Wade stays where he is king? Doesn't make sense. And Miami doesn't have Rose (and Noah) to go with those three-- which is the most attractive option BY FAR!
The Bulls can still contend with Rose, Noah, Deng, Johnson and either Boozer or Amare. Heat not so much!
Actually the heat can pull it off. Lebron and Bosh get max contracts. Wade has 'bird' rights so the Heat can go over the cap to resign him.
And when this happens we can all laugh at Reinsdorf and Co.
And you know all that extra money goes right into Reinsdorf's pocket to pay for his hockey team.
Collusion,if the owners met like this the union, the league etc would cry bloody mary and fine them a billion dollars
This would also make sense as D-Wade would win a HUGE amount of championships in his hometown, Bosh would have tons of rings and LBJ would be forever known as the try King of Chicago!
Dream about it for a minute folks ... it would be the biggest shocker EVER in NBA history.
UNLESS of course the unthinkable is about to happen ... that is the three were meeting to discuss all signing with the BULLS!!!! (Sorry Joe Johnson) A sign and trade would have to take place for certain but it would definitely still work (who cares about the lux tax as they would make that up in jersey sales alone!!)
And if this is the case-- never mind Stern. There is nothing to see here-- please move along :-)
Remember, it's LBJ calling the shots. Maybe he allowed D-Wade to pick the spot for the meeting.
This is absolutely tampering and something should be done if the NBA has any credibility. The Heat should be penalized as well as Wade. He flaunted this notion last month and now it becomes a reality. Even though he is a free agent, he is clearly acting on behalf of the Heat. At the very least Wade should not be able to sign with any team until 3 weeks (or longer) after the start of the signing period. First he makes statements about the Bulls being a disloyal organization then he summons LBJ. You are talking about improper influencing to the tune of potentially costing teams tens or hundreds of millions of dollars when all is said and done. Pretty serious I think!
Get a set of nuts Stern and take action now!
The funniest part about all of it is that he is trying to get LBJ to go to Miami-- his team. LBJ playing caddy to anyone seems a little far fetched no?
I agree about Wade. respecting him less and less as his actions and words unfold during this free agency period. To me, this recruiting visit to Miami by Wade should be viewed as tampering, coming before July 1. David Stern, where are you?
hahahah, yeah whatever... i'm not sold on the possibility the bulls will land lebron, but it's hilarious that those tools down in miami think they're going to somehow squeeze the egos of wade, lebron and bosh into the same team. especially because they'll all three have to take less than the max salary. keep dreaming, miami.
everytime i read another story involving d wade i think he's more and more of a dipscat.
