Scott, you're really whining about the Cubs letting Chad Tracy go? I'm sure you're one of the same people still pining for Mark DeRosa, Jake Fox, Matt Murton, Sean Gallagher and the rest of those fools.

Yup, another Cubs player cut loose who never got the chance to show the Cubs how great he is because the stupid Cubs wouldn't play him. Sure, Tracy is only hitting .250 with 0 homers and 5 Rbi, but if the Cubs would have played him every day I have a gut feeling he would be hitting .290 with 17 homers and 54 Rbi right now. Now that's just a gut feeling, but we all know a gut feeling is the best kind of feeling and what you should base your baseball decisions on. Like when we all had a gut feeling about Jake Fox. The stupid Cubs didn't play him, but now I'm sure he'll tear up the AL. Why? Because my gut tells me so!

What other team would leave a .230 hitter in the cleanup spot day after day after day... and follow him with a .168 hitter? Where they "traditionally" hit is irrelevant when their stats are this bad. Would Torre, Cox or LaRussa continually do this?? When will the Cubs finally learn that who someone was or what their contract happens to add up to does NOT determine the lineup?

To Coach - good points, I used to defend Hendry, I cannot any longer, despite the productive farm system.
Lou is as you say, the game has passed him by. But Hendry won't do anything about him. Ridiculous.
But then again, look how proactive Lou is, some times. Some times he drops Lee from the 3rd spot, ALL THE WAY DOWN to the 4th spot. You mean to say, you don't think thats a shake up? What kind of baseball do you play -ha ha, only foolin.

Hey CoachA25, if you're so smart, why arent you working for and MLB team?

So, we're supposed to believe that a "new grip" is supposed to be the reason Rami will turn it around?

I'll believe it when I see it

Hendry cannot wait, CAN NOT WAIT, to get his .168 hitting 3rd baseman in there. Before the website shifted over from its previous version I was very active over the past two/three years inposting that the problems with teh Cubs were clearly Hendry, Lee, Rameriez, and Soriano. This is when these guys were even producing. I got blasted by a number of Cub fans on why I was always so down on Lee and Rameriez. Why? Because they have never, ever, won the Cubs anything. Championships is all that matters in professional sports. Thats it! Championships. How do all those posters like things now huh? years and years of the same old underproducing crap from all of these guys. Lee and Rameriez are lazy. I don't loop Soriano in there this year because he at least appears to be working and I can take that. Lou is a bumbling idiot who refusess to play fundamental baseball 101. Struggling to score runs and you get your two first hitters of the game on base. Lee (the great #3 hitter he is) comes up. Does Lou BUNT? NO, why should he, Lee is hitting .233. It is ridiculous. BASEBALL 101. You struggle to score runs, you do what you have to to get guys into scoring position. That means BUNTING your #3 hitter sometimes. How Lou has won as many games as he has is a mystery. Hendry is complete garbage and not worth wasting time typing.

What pictures of Lou and Hendry, does Baker have of them in compromising positions? How Baker manages to stay on this team and in the lineup as often as he does, is ridiculous. Tracy swings a decent bat.
I remember awhile back reading somewhere that Hendry was concerned about 'perception of free agents' regarding how they are treated by ballclubs. What is a free agent going to think when they look at how Tracy has been jacked around this year. He's not done that badly - compared to Baker and even Rami - although Rami is/was hurt.
Maybe thats why Hendry only can sign free agents if he either overpays with $$$ or with 'years' - or both - see, Aaron Miles and Soriano, and Fuku, and on and on.
