Derrek Lee came out of Monday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth inning with inflammation in his right thumb.
Lee hurt the thumb after hitting a fourth-inning single. Xavier Nady moved from right field to first base, with Tyler Colvin inserted in right.
X-rays on the thumb proved negative, meaning there was no fracture. Lee should be back in the lineup on Wednesday or Thursday.

At least we have pretty much distanced ourselves from Sosa since he left the team. I don't think he's been back to Wrigley or to the Cubs Convention since he left the park in the middle of the final game of the season in 2004. On the other hand, the Cardinals fans still openly support Mark McGwire and the Cardinals now have him on the payroll as their hitting coach. And their drunk of a manager continues to deny that there was anything wrong with what McGwire did, or what anyone else who was using PEDs under his watch was doing.
It sounds like someone is really hard to get some attention.

Funny that you Cub fans never had a problem condoning the cheater Sammy Sosa... juice, corked bat, etc. In other news, Alfonso Soriano will miss the next six weeks complaining that he has a mild pain when he hops turning sure outs into doubles.

And Cardinals players and coaches are almost as stupid and drunk as their fans. First Tony is willing to look the other way when his own players are juicing, and now Cardinals fans love the fact that their hitting coach is a confirmed cheater. What is he going to teach your hitters, how to plead the 5th in front of Congress?
