Tiger Woods' televised apology convinced more than half of Americans that he was sincere, but his popularity has nose-dived in the wake of his admitted extramarital affairs.
An ABC News/ESPN poll conducted Feb. 25-28 revealed that 54 percent of more than 1,000 respondents thought Woods was truly sorry during his speech, with 22 percent unconvinced and 24 percent having no opinion.
Woods was viewed favorably by only 39 percent, a huge drop in his approval rating from 2005 (85 percent).
