Kirk Hinrich has been suspended for one game after bumping into referee Bennie Adams Friday night when he was ejected with his second technical foul.
Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations, announced Saturday that Hinrich will serve his suspension on Tuesday, when the Bulls face the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum.
Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro had insisted the bump was inadvertent.
"It was because the referee stopped. That's the only reason he bumped him," said Del Negro immediately after the Bulls' seventh straight loss. "Kirk was walking toward him, and then the referee turned and they bumped. Kirk wasn't going there to bump him....there was some contact but it was because the referee had stopped right in front of him like that. That's all it was."
Hinrich ducked out the back door of the locker room without giving his version of the incident Friday night.

i think it might be good that hinrich lost his cool. Someone had to argue with officials, and he did it for whole team. Now he needs to turn his frustration into better playing on-court.
Hey, Kapt Kapt Klank Hindrich needed an early shower because he stinks! Klank must be glued to the bench! That will stop him from circle dribbling and eating the clock.
Kirk "Stood up" and hurt his team by getting suspended at the worse possible time.He is a vet he should know how it works by now. What a stupid decision.
What a load if shit!.. Can't believe he got suspended!!
Can you imagine if Rose, Deng or Noah don't return?? Who's gonna start for us??
Pargo, Devin Brown, Warrick, Law, Gibson, Miller.. Might as well call up the D League squad!!!! LOL..
I really think we're gonna miss the playoffs this year!.. I reckon if Noah stayed healthy, we could have been a 45 win team..
its not stupid to argue the call maybe he should of stopped after the first tech but you have to stick up for yourself and your team -- the refs were not calling alot of crap on the floor then called some bulls**t against the bulls - now i know its wade but come on he was driving in out of control and then he runs into miller and they call a flagrant foul - then he stops real fast to make hinrich touch him so he could get more out of it -- im tired of the refs doing whatever they want and noone is allowed to talk bad about them -- there shgould be come kind of command structure to make sure the refs do there job right and a public forum to make them show when there wrong
That was just stupid to keep arguing the call. How many times have you ever seen an nba player argue a call and it makes a difference?? They just look foolish following the ref barking at them just like in baseball when the manager runs out and argues it's not gonna reverse the call. Now Hinrich is out along with rose, deng, noah brilliant idea this season is over.
Lets face it, Kirk has never gotten any calls in the NBA, AND WE ALL KNOW WHY(TE)!
