illinoiswiscoblock.jpgINDIANAPOLIS -- Illinois picked the right time to play its most complete half of basketball in about a month. The Illini lead Wisconsin 29-20 at halftime Friday in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament.

The Illini shot 13-for-20 from the field in the first half. Demetri McCamey had 10 points and Mike Tisdale had nine, including his second 3-pointer of the season.

Illinois' defense has forced Wisconsin to shoot an abysmal 6-for-33 in the first half. Given that, the Badgers are fortunate to be down only nine. Jon Leuer is keeping Wisconsin in the game; he leads the Badgers with 11 points.
