Candice Dupree, the Sky's veteran all-star forward, was added to the 2010-12 USA Basketball Women's National Team on Wednesday.

"It may sound cliché, but it is truly a great honor to be selected as a member of the national team," said Dupree. "I am very excited and appreciative to be mentioned in the same breath as the great players that have come through the USA basketball."

The other 11 athletes named to USA Basketball: Alana Beard (Washington Mystics), Swin Cash (Seattle Storm), Tina Charles (University of Connecticut), Shameka Christon (New York Liberty), Lindsey Harding (Washington Mystics), Asjha Jones (Connecticut Sun), Angel McCoughtry (Atlanta Dream), Renee Montgomery (Connecticut Sun), Maya Moore (University of Connecticut), Lindsay Whalen (Minnesota Lynx) and Candice Wiggins (Minnesota Lynx).

The athletes announced Wednesday join the eight previously announced USA National Team members: Sylvia Fowles (Sky), Sue Bird (Seattle Storm), Tamika Catchings (Indiana Fever), Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury), Seimone Augustus (Minnesota Lynx), Kara Lawson (Connecticut Sun), Candace Parker (Los Angeles Sparks) and Cappie Pondexter (Phoenix Mercury).
