INDIANAPOLIS -- A thrilling game gets an extra five minutes.

Ohio State and Illinois are tied 66-66 in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament after regulation.

Illinois took a two-point lead on a pair of free throws from Demetri McCamey with 31.6 seconds left, but then Ohio State's Evan Turner converted a reverse layup with just over 12 seconds to play to tie the game.

Illinois had the last shot, but Mike Davis layup attempt missed, but likely would not have counted as it appeared to come after the final buzzer.

Good game but poor coaching and execution with the last shots of regular time and overtime. Also basketball 101 dictates that you are aggressive against a press. What is this walking stuff. Great game by our freshmen! Looks like you made it to the dance!

Good "rebuilding year" for the Illini...........now, tomorrow when the NCAA Selection Committee meets to pick the 64 team field for this year's tournament.......let's see if the fact that in the Illini's last 10 games, 8 opponents were ranked in the top 15 in the Nation carries any weight in their decision on whether to include the Illin or not in this years tourney.

Might be best for the Illini to get snubbed and go to the NIT, pick up some valuable experience AND put a thorn in the players' saddles for next year.

From a lifelong Illini fan..............GO ILLINI......!!!!!!
