Cristobal Huet will be in goal for the Blackhawks when they face the Canucks on Friday night at the United Center.
It's the second consecutive start for the veteran as coach Joel Quenneville tries to establish a No. 1 goaltender.
Center John Madden is back in the lineup after sitting out Wednesday night's 5-2 victory over the Oilers. The veteran is still working his way back to full-time duty after suffering a knee injury Feb. 9 against Dallas. Colin Fraser is expected to be a scratch.
The Canucks, in first place in the Northwest Division with a 39-22-2 record, are the closest pursuer in the Western Conference to the second-place Hawks at nine points back.
"It's a big game," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "A first-place team and a familiar opponent from last year's playoffs and some competitive game this year as well. It's our last meeting so we know the value and the importance of where they're at and where we want to be.
"It will be a hard game. Both teams have some skill (and) some speed but I expect both teams to play hard."
