The Daily Illini reports: Former Illini guard Cory Bradford (1998-2002) is embarrassed on behalf of his alma mater's recent performances.
"The guys have really just been inconsistent," Bradford put it bluntly.
"It's painful to watch sometimes," he added. "The ability's there, the talent is there and the leadership is there, but they just can't get it all consistently. You see them win three straight games, and then the next three games you're like, 'What the hell just happened?'"
Bradford, who ranks fifth in the all-time record books in scoring, blames the inconsistency of this year's team on the fact that Illinois doesn't have enough vocal leadership.

Big Ten tournament: Reasons to believe and to doubt the teams

The talent is NOT there. This is the result of lousy recruiting(Weber's achilles......).Like the HorriBulls, the motto is still "wait till next year".......
Wow, Bradford blew. He's the last person that should be commenting on this. Gill maybe, but Bradford. Come on man.
Wasn't Cory Bradford that streaky shooter who frustrated everyone with his inconsistent threes?
Funny. And all I can remember when Bradford was a player was how I couldn't wait to see Frank Williams. Again. A shame Frank listened to the wrong people and gave up on his exceptional mid-range game. He could have been...He should be in coaching!
Back to the point...Jereme is going to push this team next year.
