The Sun Sentinel reports: The Dolphins offered free-agent safety Antrel Rolle a five-year contract Thursday evening, shortly after the Cardinals released him.
However, the Dolphins' offer was under the $8 million per year Rolle is seeking. The New York Giants are expected to offer that much when Rolle is expected to visit Friday morning.

So can we safely assume that our negotiations with Rolle went badly? Atogwe is a better fit, and will be less aggressively courted early on, so we should put the offer sheet out there now, and see what happens. The Rams won't match, so we can get him for $5 mil per year, instead of the $6-8 per that Rolle is looking for, and he has already played a lot of Cover 2 in St. Louis.
I'd rather get Antogwe anyways...
... along with Peppers and Taylor, that would be one hell of a Trifecta! plus the 300 pounds of Marmelade tight end would be a bonus.
