LAS VEGAS -- Ryan Dempster pitched three strong innings and the Cubs made a comeback to beat the White Sox for the second straight day at Cashman Field, this time 8-7.

Dempster went allowed one hit and one unearned run in the game played in front of 11,553 very chilled fans. One of the hitting heroes was third baseman Jeff Baker, who stroked a two-run double in the second inning against Sox starter Lucas Harrell.

The Cubs have won two of the three games from the Sox this spring. Last year the Sox won both game in Las Vegas.

How many people want to bet our dear friend Heinie will still be talking about how great the Sox meaningless 15-3 victory over the Cubs was a few months from now? How many people want to make another bet that if our dear friend Heinie and our special needs friend Bob Locker were to mate they would produce the dumbest offspring in the history of humanity? Place your bets now!

Once the Cubbies got some rest, it became over for the Sox and everyone else. We are going to sail until they need rest again. Go Cubbies!

p.s. Please Tribune make the lettering bigger at the bottom. Thank you!

Yea downstate. Its a routine two in a row. I must add last weeks 15-3 butt whipping should have counted as three wins. As for the regular season when it counts, the Sox should win 5 of 6 at the least.

Beating the White Sox is becoming routine.I like it.I hope it carries over into the regular season series.

Did that writer graduate, or did his proofreader drink too much???
