Clausen outscores Tebow on Wonderlic test

The Palm Beach Post reports: Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, whose intangibles supposedly enhance his pro-football resume, scored slightly below average for an NFL quarterback on the Wonderlic test, a 12-minute, 50-question exam given at the scouting combine that assesses learning and problem-solving abilities.

Tebow scored a 22 on the Wonderlic, an NFL source told the Post. The average score for an NFL quarterback is 24. Oklahoma's Sam Bradford had the best score among the 2010 draft's top four QB draft prospects with a 36 (Texas' Colt McCoy scored a 25 and Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen a 23).

Wonderlic Test 2011 NFL Player on February 28, 2011 6:30 PM

I actually think the Tebow should take wonderlic test scores into consideration if they choose to go after a later round backup QB. Not so much for the football IQ, but simply because of the attention to detail. But that’s just my opinion. Wonderlic Test 2011 NFL Player

News flash: earth to liar dave, teblow didn't bench in indy, wasn't the fastest QB (benet academy's dan lefevour was faster, for one) and, yes, he did have the best qb broad jump and vertical leap, tying future hall of famer josh mccown in that category, so he's got that going for him.

you have no idea whether he works harder than anyone.

he also didn't throw in indy, like most qbs, but after his senior bowl disaster when he looked like another former gators qb rex grossman in his inability to take a simple snap from center, you and maybe a few delusional holy rollers think he's the best qb in the draft.

good luck with that

News flash: Tebow still stronger, faster, jumps higher, works harder and is a better leader than all other quarterbacks in the draft.

Don't Care For Tebow But... on March 11, 2010 12:18 PM

This is a stupid way to attract more news attention.. Media, shut the hell up. This is worse than measuring a basketball player's talent by how many hairs he has on his arms. The only person who should care about this story is Vince Young.. for making him look smarter.

Dan Marino scored a 15 on this test, as well as Jim Kelly! ON the other hand the brilliant Alex Smith and Matt Lienhart scored a 40 and 35 respectfully. Hmmm . . . what does this mean? Oh that's right it's bloody meaningless on the field where the heart plays out.

Haha, so he's dumb, too. Never doubted that. Have fun in Canada, you no-talent blowhard.
