ORLANDO -- Derrick Rose had his wrist X-rayed and reportedly had it placed in a sling. He remained in the training room and declined to talk to reporters after the game.
Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said Rose will have an MRI on the wrist Friday in Miami to determine the extent of the injury.
"He said he felt sore, stiff, disappointed. You could tell he was a little disappointed and upset," said Del Negro. "Hopefully the MRI will show that it is just a sprained wrist and then we will make a decision for (Friday) and going forward."
Howard added that he has warned Rose about driving the lane with his body out of control.

"I just want to save years on his body. He will be OK," said Howard. "Right now, he probably just sprained his wrist, or whatever. Later on in his career, I know he wants to be able to jump and do all of the things he does now. The way you do that is try to prevent some of the things." Del Negro said he didn't think it was a dirty foul by Howard.
"I will have to see it on film, it was in front of our bench," said Del Negro. "It looked like Dwight went up and Derrick lost his balance again...he's coming over to block his shot...the wrist can be really a problem because you brace yourself and you have all of that impact. They are coming down from a high level...that's dangerous."
Asked if Rose would play Friday night in Miami if the MRI shows no fracture, Del Negro replied: "Let's just see what happens. He wants to play, I know he does. But I am going to let the doctor and (trainer) Fred (Tedeschi) tell me what the exam says. We will sit down and talk to Derrick and see where he's at. But let's get the MRI and all of the information gathered."

+1 tball, Roses teamates should be ashamed of themselves, especially Miller. The only guy with size to return the cheap shot to Howard.
I find it hard to believe that not one of his teammates did anything that even resembled standing up for him. Yes, Dwight Howard is a big, strong man, but Rose is the future of the franchise. If someone had done this to Jordan, twice by the way, Rodman, Horace or even Will the Thrill Perdue, would have shown some backbone and retaliated in some form. This why the Blackhawks define the term, team. Someone takes a shot on Kane or Hossa and there is one of their teammates ready to stand up for them. C'mon guys, show some guts.
