By Chris Kuc

Duncan Keith and Andrew Ladd scored goals as the Blackhawks jumped to a 2-0 lead over the Red Wings after one period Sunday at the United Center.

Keith scored his 13th goal of the season early on when he pounced on a long rebound of a Brent Seabrook shot at the top of the left circle and fired it past Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard.

The Hawks made it 2-0 when Ladd grabbed a turnover in the Detroit zone and rifled a shot from the right circle over Howard's left shoulder. It was Ladd's 13th goal of the season.

Cristobal Huet has turned aside all nine Wings shots in goal for the Hawks.
