Staff reportArrelious Benn officially was timed at 4.36 and 4.39 seconds in the 40-yard dash during his pro-day workout on the Illinois campus Wednesday, the National Football Post reports.
"I was definitely pleased with what I did," Benn told the Post. "I got a lot of positive feedback from the teams. I'm happy about it."
However, ProFootballTalk.com notes that pro-day workout numbers are more likely to be favorable to the player, and that one team put Benn's time at 4.43 seconds.

Benn received negative reviews at the NFL scouting combine, where he slipped on pass patterns and dropped passes.
"I slipped on a speed out route at the combine," Benn told the Post. "Where I'm from, it's a step route and it's hard to run around a cone. Today, I did what I normally do. Everything was more crisp, not that the combine was bad.
"At the combine, I was dealing with a lot of things and I kind of get sidetracked the last day. You've got to press through it. I'm always going to represent well."

Because the scouts seem to be doubting Benn if somehow Benn is available to the Bears in the 3rd round Jerry Angelo should jump on him no matter what other needs the Bears may have. It probably won't happen though.
