The Bears are expected to bring Utah safety Robert Johnson in for a pre-draft visit to Halas Hall.
The team's West Coast scout Marty Barrett was at the Utes' pro day Monday morning in Salt Lake City, and was keeping an eye on the Johnson, who started at free safety for the last three seasons.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Johnson was not invited to the national scouting combine last month, so the team will be able to put him through a full battery of medical tests and evaluations during his visit.

"If somebody drafts me I'm going to go out there and show them the best
way I know how to play," Johnson told the Deseret News. "And show them
it was worth the draft pick."
The Bears were one of 21 teams in attendance for the workouts, per the report.
Previously, we've reported that the Bears have pre-draft visits scheduled with TCU offensive tackle Nic Richmond, Cincinnati offensive tackle Jeff Linkenbach and South Dakota State defensive end Danny Batten.

Of course this is specifically for Free Safeties.

This Robert Johnson is ranked at number 26 of all the safeties available for the draft. Looks like they will be looking at him in the 7th round or even after the draft as a free agent....unless someone wants to tell me that 25 safeties will be picked before the Bears first pick in the 3rd.
So tell me Brad, why haven't you divulged this information to your readers? No time...or do you want to keep the hopes up on the fans...and let them think that this could be a great player?
I would much rather see the Bears draft Zane Beedles from Utah, now a Left Tackle.
