Andre Agassi told ESPN.com's Rick Reilly he was "out of line" and apologized for poking fun at Pete Sampras during a charity match last week.

Longtime rivals Agassi and Sampras were wearing microphones during the match, and the crowd at Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California could hear an exchange that started lighthearted but turned testy.

At one point Sampras mimicked Agassi's pigeon-toed walk, which drew laughs from the crowd.

Then Agassi chided Sampras for being stingy. In his book, Agassi criticized Sampras for being a poor tipper.

Sampras responded with a high, hard serve that forced Agassi, who was partnering Rafael Nadal, to duck.

Both Agassi and Sampras were smiling, but neither showed up at the post-match news conference.

you know it really makes me mad when I see these guys who have made millions of dollars being stingy with tips. I have zero issues with athletes making all this money; but hey be generous, make your waiter or waitresses day and give a big time tip. I still remember Scottie "No Tippin" Pippin and the stories of him running up 500 dollar tabs and leaving a lousy dollar as a tip. I mean come on a 200 dollar tip to these guys is like you or me leaving a 50 cent tip. Not gonna effect their lifestyle but it could sure help someone who needs it. Be generous that's all I'm saying; plus it's a good way to avoid having your food spit in by the wait staff (sorry folks it does happen, i worked for years as a cook in the restarant industry and you'd be surprised at what a ticked off food server will do)

Pete is a DB...Andre cant help that he walks pigeon toed, Pete can control being a bad tipper. No class Pete, no class...
