NHL.com reports: The Atlanta Thrashers received a boost on Sunday when the club announced it recalled goaltender Kari Lehtonen from the Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Lehtonen, who was assigned to the Wolves for conditioning on Jan. 22, posted a 1-1-2 record with a 2.67 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage in four outings with Chicago. His stint with the Wolves marked his first game action since April 11, 2009, when he made 33 saves in a win against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Lehtonen was suffering from a back injury.
