Spartans' Lucas will not play at Illinois

CHAMPAIGN -- A game Illinois essentially needs to win might have became a bit easier before tipoff tonight as Kalin Lucas will not play for Michigan State. The Spartan guard did not warm up and was wearing a sweat suit. Lucas sprained his ankle on Tuesday in game against Wisconsin.

A victory over Michigan State would give Illinois a huge boost as it heads into the final eight games of its season, many of which will come against the top teams in the Big Ten.

In the starting lineup for Illinois tonight are D.J. Richardson, Bill Cole, Demetri McCamey Mike Tisdale and Tyler Griffey.
