Southern Illinois rallies past Missouri State

Gene Teague scored 16 points and had a game-high eight rebounds as Southern Illinois rallied in the second half to beat Missouri State 73-67.

The Salukis (13-9, 5-7 Missouri Valley) overcame a 29-point performance by Missouri State's Adam Leonard, who scored 20 in the first half by sinking 7 of 8 shots, including 5 3-pointers.

Justin Bocot scored 13 points, Kevin Dillard had 11 points and a game-high four assists and Anthony Booker his 10 points for the Salukis. Will Creekmore added 12 for the Bears (15-8, 5-7).

With Southern Illinois down 45-41 with 13:51 left, Nick Evans hit a jump shot and Bocot and Carlton Fay followed with 3-pointers for a 47-45 lead, the Salukis' first since 6:58 remained in the first half.
