Kalen DeBoer, who coached the University of Sioux Falls to three NAIA championships in four years, is leaving the school to become offensive coordinator at Southern Illinois.
DeBoer announced the move Friday, two months after the Cougars won their second straight title. They were 67-3 in DeBoer's five seasons as coach. Southern Illinois last year advanced to the quarterfinals of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, closing the season at 11-2.
