Illinois set to face hot Purdue on the road

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Illinois still harbors hope of winning the Big Ten's regular season title. That will likely not happen unless the Illini can pull off a win here today at Mackey Arena against red hot Purdue, who has won its last eight games.

The Purdue fans obviously remember what a pain reserve John Hart was the last time Illinois and Purdue played. A couple signs in the student section feature a play on Hart's name, including one that says, "We win games because we have Moore Hart," referring also to Purdue's E'Twuan Moore.

In Purdue's 84-78 victory in Champaign, Hart wasn't even listed in the official book and Purdue was charged with an administrative technical foul when Hart checked in the game, but his 14 points helped lead a second-half charge from the Boilermakers.
