By Brad BiggsFormer Bears coach Dick Jauron has been named secondary coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL.com, which cited a league source.
Jauron was fired as coach of the Buffalo Bills in November after a 3-6 start. He compiled a 24-33 record as the head coach there since 2006. He was the defensive coordinator and interim head coach for the Detroit Lions for two seasons prior to that. Jauron was 35-46 as the coach of the Bears from 1999 to 2003. He's got a relationship with Reid as they worked together on Mike Holmgren's staff in Green Bay.
There was speculation that Jauron could rejoin forces with another coach in the NFC East. But Tom Coughlin, who worked with Jauron previously in Jacksonville, hired Perry Fewell as defensive coordinator, taking the Bears' top candidate away from them.

Across the board, Marinelli is considered a top defensive line coach. Tice is considered a top offensive line coach. Martz is considered one of the most innovative offensive minds and playcallers. Babich has done a solid job with the linebackers.
Did they fail at other roles. Yes. But to suggest this is the worst coaching staff is beyond absurd. Typical meathead comment.
Maybe the Bears can bring him back and then we can have the worst coaching staff in the NFL.
