The Fire waived defenders Austin Washington and Daniel Woolard on Monday.
Washington was drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft and appeared in nine games in two years with the club. Woolard was drafted in the fourth round of the 2007 MLS supplemental draft. In three seasons with the Fire, Woolard appeared in 16 games, starting six.
Also Monday, the Fire said it will face 11-time Mexican Primera Division champions Chivas de Guadalajara in a closed-door exhibition match Thursday and will play a second exhibition while in Mexico on March 3 against an opponent to be named.
