Xavier Nady has the chance to become a starter with a team after this year. Reed Johnson is a career 4th OF. The choice was simple.

Good luck Reed wherever you go!

Lets see how many playoff games did we win with the great Reed Johnson. Zero. Cub fans quit living in the past. The guy was a average player. Good by good luck.

Sorry to See REED go.. He was the only cub to tell Bradley to behave.. He hustles and is a great outfielder.. A quality guy. Hope you do good IN LA .. Now this guy would lighten the cubs bench , BUT OG I forgot. THese are the stumbling.mumbling, lkjlkjlkj CUBS

We'll miss ya Reed. Sort of like we missed the 2008 Reed Johnson in 2009.

So, actually, we won't miss the 2009 Reed Johnson.

Good job, Hendry!

Reed will come back someday to the Cubs after he retires as a PR move to divert attention from a team that will never win. Same old same old.

I guess the signing of each free agent ex-Cub, going back to the Ron Santo (the player, not the announcer) era is Breaking News.

Goodbye Reed, we loved ya here! Hope you come back some day!
