STORRS -- Will Walker had 24 points and made six three-pointers, but DePaul was just a few answers short against Connecticut.
Jerome Dyson had 18 points as UConn erased an early 10-point deficit and held off the Blue Demons, 64-57, before a sellout crowd of 10,167 at Gampel Pavilion.
DePaul (8-15, 1-10 Big East) has lost five in a row. UConn (14-9, 4-6) snapped a three-game losing streak.
DePaul led 52-51 with just under six minutes remaining but was outscored 13-5 down the stretch. The last of Walker's three-pointers pulled DePaul to within 60-57. After a Dyson miss, Michael Bizoukas and Mac Koshwal missed for the Blue Demons, and UConn sealed the victory from the free throw line.
Stanley Robinson and Gavin Edwards each had 10 points for UConn, which plays Wednesday at Syracuse. Kemba Walker and Alex Oriakhi each had nine points. Ater Majok had six points, four rebounds and five blocks.
Koshwal had 12 points for DePaul.
