Bolland's return shakes up Blackhawks' lines

The Blackhawks' offensive lines had a new look Tuesday with the return of Dave Bolland.

The center, who hasn't played since undergoing back surgery in November, skated on the second line with Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa.

Bolland's return means the Hawks have an extra forward and someone will have to sit.
There has been some question of who will be scratched but that was answered for Tuesday's practice, at least, as veteran winger Andrew Ladd left practice early for an unspecified reason.

Sharp was back at his natural position after having filled in at center during Bolland's absence.

Forward Adam Burish, who underwent knee surgery during the preseason, also was on the ice participating in drills.

Antti Niemi will be in goal Wednesday when the Blackhawks return to action at home against the St. Louis Blues.

Rumors have been circulating about a possible trade involving the Hawks, with the focus of them being Penguins defenseman Jay McKee.

The Hawks' lines during practice were:

Brouwer--Toews--Kane

Sharp--Bolland--Hossa

Versteeg--Madden--Byfuglien

Eager--Fraser--Kopecky
