Cutler 'comfortable' with new coordinator Martz

New Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz said he enjoyed meeting with quarterback Jay Cutler last Saturday in Nashville, Tenn., and apparently the feeling was mutual.

"I felt very comfortable with him," Cutler told ChicagoBears.com. "The results of his offense speak for themselves. He had a lot of success in St. Louis and his offenses made improvements each year in Detroit and San Francisco."

Cutler said he is excited about the potential of Martz's pass-oriented offense.

"I haven't run his system, but I am familiar with it," Cutler said. "I'm anxious to start digesting the playbook and getting back on the field."

You guys will love Martz but you gotta improve that bad offensive line...

Martz can make almost any WR have a great season...

I am glad everyone is excited, and I hate to be a pessimist, but I will not believe the Bears will have a high flying offense, until I see it.

It will be good to have an exciting offense. The reason why running the ball always, is not a good idea is because when the playoffs come the receivers are expected to make big plays. If they aren't practicing doing this during the season, how can you expect them to do it in the playoffs.

I am so excited,I cant wait. Martz is going to show how inept Turner really was, lol. A high flying Bears offense is going to be a thrill to watch. BEAR DOWN! GO BEARS!

But everybody if we have a winning season! we keep Lovie/Jerry show in Chicago! I thought we wanted them GONE? i GUESS WE'LL

I can't believe we might actually have a big boy offense in Chicago.

I'm sure Cutler is up for the challenge. He has been waiting for this. Win or lose, should be an exciting season!

YAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!
Let's get to work. I for one am looking forward to an offense that wants to pass the ball DOWNFIELD instead of sideways........imagine that??
