Bulls engaged in Tyrus Thomas trade talks

DALLAS -- With six days until the NBA trade deadline and all the general managers in one place for competition committee meetings, this is when the bluffs start to fade and trade talks get more serious.

Along those lines, league sources said the Bulls are intensifying efforts to parlay Tyrus Thomas into expiring contracts and future draft picks.

The latest news is old news in that the Bulls have contacted the Knicks again regarding Al Harrington's availability. Those teams also talked in a rumor that leaked in early December.

A deal involving Thomas and Jannero Pargo for Harrington would need other salaries to work under the collective bargaining agreement.

Portland's interest in Thomas is believed not to be serious. Denver also is hesitant to take on a player whose qualifying offer is $6.2 million this summer as a restricted free agent.

Thomas also is being shopped as part of larger deals involving John Salmons and Kirk Hinrich, according to league sources. The Bulls are making clear to teams they will not take back salary as part of any deal.

Again they are about to get rid of someone that will go to another team and be a good player remember elton brand.jamal crawford ben gordon and now tyrus thomas.tyrus is going to be a beast thats why so many teams want him so again why can't the bulls see that in him.

No way, no how ... that the Bulls get anything for TT (IF they even can get rid of him!) or that they get anything but a level 2 FA (NO LeBron, Wade, etc... maybe a Joe Johnson) and then they'll go back to the old line that they're expecting their younger players to "get over the hump" and then the franchise where "franchises win championships" will again become a dynasty! There is a Latin term that describes that type of logic: "Cow pies"!
How many times do Chicago fans have to fall for this line before they finally get it?!? It's the same for nearly every team in the city! Passionate fans who are die-hards for their favorite team(s) are easily duped by owners who would rather turn a profit than have a championship team! As if that has to be mutually exclusive! ... The most popular teams in the major sports are those that are WINNERS!!! Why were the Bulls so popular in the 90's? The Celtics and Lakers, today? Why have the Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers and Patriots been so popular for the past few decades??? It wasn't because they were/are Major Markets (well Dallas, & to a lesser degree Bos. & SF, are larger --- but NOT like Chicago, LA or NY) it is because winners generate their own following (and, therefore, $$$$ !!! Hear that Virginia, Jerry & Mr. Ricketts?!?) !!!
I'm tired of the rhetoric! I don't believe another team in this city will win a championship (maybe Hawks, soon? ... wishful thinking) until pigs fly, pulling on my legs produces the song "Jingle Bells," and Chicago no longer is viewed as a corrupt city, politically speaking ... excuse me, "an allegedly corrupt city"
Thank you, and good night!

Too bad, Skiles & Vinnie could not wake up Tyrus! Pax the dunce, loves to waste high first round picks! How many teams can afford to get nothing for a clutch shooter like Gordon???

If the Bulls get rid of Kapt Klank the clock eating, circle dribbling, carreer inconsistent streak shooting Hinrich, who can't beat anyone off the dribble! It will be a miracle! Hinrich is not a NBA starter!

If the bulls move Salmons and Thomas, they won't need to move Deng or Hinrich. From what I understand the only way they could afford 2 top FA would be if they moved all 4 of those players for expirings and I don't see that happening.

Addition by subtract plus free agents not coming= more of the same .500 at best

Chicago teams need to get rid of all these over priced prima donnas who aren't smart ebnough to understand they are part of a "TEAM". Give me a player without tat's who is a team player instead of someone that only thinks about himself and spends more time in the tat parlor than they do practicing. I will take that anytime over the moronic idiots that have come into this league in last 10 years.

Any deal that removes Hinrich or Deng's salary from the books is a good one. Tyrus will be gone because he hasn't turned his athletism into Basketball. We need to find out number 1 guy a number 2 guy before we worry about keeping a number 3 or 4 guy. Got it ?

Who should the Bulls get for Tyrus Thomas? Any Howard Eisley's out there? Unless they get value, I say hold on to him.

ALRIGHT!!!!!! The bulls are being pro active and progressive in cashing in on the greatest Free agent class Ever!!!! Dwayne wade please come home a backcourt of wade and rose would be fantastic.
