ATLANTA -- Beyond the 11.2 points and 12 rebounds Joakim Noah averages, there is this:
"Jo is the emotional leader of this team," forward Taj Gibson said.
As the Bulls try to snap a two-game skid against the Hawks Friday night, that element--along with rebounding, defense and hustle--will need to come from other sources.

"It's a big loss for us," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "Everybody will have to chip in for a tough matchup because of Atlanta's talent, athleticism and size. Injuries are part of the business. We've handled adversity before. So I hope there's no emotional fallout.
"You never want to lose any of your players but especially your starting center."
Del Negro confirmed a Tribune report that the Bulls will sign Chris Richard to a 10-day contract and said Richard would be in Atlanta Friday night. Richard didn't attend the Friday morning shootaround.
Del Negro also reiterated that Brad Miller, who is battling a sore left knee, would start. And Tyrus Thomas' minutes should increase.
"I'm just ready to play hard," Thomas said.
