Blackhawks look to turn tables on Stars

The Blackhawks will look to solve the Dallas Stars for the first time this season when the teams take the ice at the United Center on Tuesday night.

Dallas struggles on the road but has defeated the Hawks in both previous meetings this season.

"They have a good team," Hawks defenseman Brian Campbell said. "They have some good lines and when they're on their game they're a tough team to beat. We're going to have to be ready to go."

The Stars are 8-15-6 away from home this season, but one of the wins was a 4-3 decision over the Hawks on Oct. 17 at the UC. They also won 5-4 on Dec. 29 in Dallas.

"It was two frustrating losses when I look back at both games," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville told reporters after the morning skate. "We have a tough history going into (Tuesday's) game. We'd like to recitfy that with with a good effort and a good game across the board."

Antti Niemi will get the start in goal for the Hawks. It's just the second time this season he's started back-to-back games. Niemi is coming off a strong effort in a 2-1 win over the Blues on Saturday night in St. Louis. Cristobal Huet was in goal the first two games against the Stars.

"Antti hasn't played against them," Quenneville said. "He's get a chance. He's coming off an off an outstanding game against St. Louis. It's a good opportunity for him to get back-to-back games and see how he responds."

Winger Ben Eager has a lower-body injury and will not play. The winger may be out until after the 15-day Olympic break which begins Feb. 15.
