Kris Versteeg scored the game-winner in the shootout, Patrick Kane had two goals and Troy Brouwer added a score as the Blackhawks defeated the Stars 4-3 on Tuesday night at the United Center.
The Hawks avenged two earlier losses to the Stars to move the season series to 3-1.
Patrick Sharp added two assists for the Hawks while Antti Niemi won his second consecutive game in goal.
Mike Ribeiro, James Neal and Loui Eriksson scored for the Stars.
