After a Friday night meeting with manager Ozzie Guillen and Bobby Jenks, White Sox general manager Ken Williams expressed his pleasure with his closer.

Williams was extremely delighted that Jenks, who responded negatively to Williams' off-season suggestions that he should be in better shape, reported very fit and gave him blunt answers.

"He looks the best I've ever seen him," Williams said. "I'm really proud of this guy.

"Just sitting here and looking at me and Ozzie, right in the eye, addressing some of the issues head-on, like men, I'm proud of him."

"Good for him. And sometimes you got to push some buttons to ultimately get to that point."

Jenks told Williams that the weight loss was done 'the right way. And I'm strong,'' adding that Jenks is more flexible.

"We're in a good place with Bobby Jenks. He's going to have a big year.''
