White Sox newly acquired third baseman Mark Teahen will remain busy before the White Sox hold their first full squad workout on Feb. 21 at Camelback Ranch.
Teahen will be presented Wednesday with the Fred Hutchinson Award at Safeco Field in Seattle. The award is given to the major league player who best exemplifies the honor, courage and dedication of Hutchinson, a former major league manager who died of cancer at 45.
Teahen also will be the keynote speaker at the sixth annual Meet the Players Night at St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif., on Feb. 13. Teahen is the Gaels' all-time leader in batting average with a .368 mark from 2000-02.
