The job search for the six Bears' assistant coaches has begun in earnest, and quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton has already been linked to one opening.
A source said that Hamilton's name has been tied to the offensive coordinator position at the University of Virginia, where new head coach Mike London is assembling his staff. Hamilton's name also surfaced in a blog at the Roanoke Times, which covers the program.
Hamilton coached previously with the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets and worked at the college level at Howard, where he was a player.
He
was an offensive coordinator at Howard and primarily did quality
control work before joining the Bears after Ron Turner got a
recommendation from his brother Norv Turner.

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!
who gives a $hit? pep hamilton may not have been a great coach for the bears but college is easier, so go ahead, we don't want you. but i ask again, does anybody really care where pep hamilton ends up?
As a die hard Bears fan, AND a Virginia alum, it saddens me that UVA would even consider someone who has been behind the regression of the last 3 Bears QB's. Please UVA! Look elsewhere!
Pep did alot for the Bears. He pretty much ruined every single QB we had. Don't do it Virginia - you'll regret it for a long time.
This guy sucks. What the hell has he EVER done?
Alright, Hamilton!
