Mesa City Manager Chris Brady said it's still possible the cages could be finished before spring training concludes in late March.

Good. Give us our new snow cone machines and we are set to return.
Please god, not Naples, that place is way the heck south of Tampa and west of Miami. Why not locate somewhere along the I-4 corridor or I-95 if your going to move to Florida? Naples would only make sense for the Tigers (its a place rife with ex-Auto execs and other Michiganders).
That said, Grapefruit League needs the Cubs more than the Cubs need the Grapefruit League; the resurgence of the Cubs as a team with a national fan base probably saved the Cactus League and let it thrive to the point where it has becomed the preferred spring training locale (in 1993, there was only 8 teams in the Cactus, versus 20 in the Grapefruit League; now there are 15 teams in both). It may get to the point where only the big market EC teams train in florida.
